At the invitation of the Festival de Marseille, and in resonance with Le Grand Défilé, choreographer and director Édith Amsellem is leading a cycle of workshops with a group of older participants from the Maisons du Bel Âge retirement homes, culminating in a performance.

Les Superbes diverts the format of the fashion show into a theatrical show in which the appearance of bodies becomes an act of enunciation and presence. On a catwalk, participants tell their stories through gait, posture and self-narration. Bodies advance, garments evoke memories, gestures allow fragments of life to surface.

Appearance thus becomes a gesture of dignity and an expression of collective strength.
